Block Party Process

Block party permits are available for temporarily closing streets in a single-family neighborhood. The City of Dallas does not charge a fee for a block party permit.

Block party permits will not be granted where multi-family or commercial properties are adjacent to City streets. However, multi-family or commercial property owners may obtain a special event permit from the City of Dallas Special Event Department at 214-939-2701.

You can get an application for a block party permit and find more information on the city’s website.
